2007 - 2008 Portfolio
I am not a graphic designer, but as you can see, I have tried my hand at a few logos. If you need me to design a logo in addition to your site, contact me to see if I can work with you on that. I am happy to see what I can do, and it’s a lot of fun, too.

Cornerstone Children’s Dentistry
This site was to be colorful and welcoming for new dentistry patients, and the goal was to have broad accessibility and ability to download pertinet information. The client already had a logo and font choice, and I provided illustration and image editing.(xhtml, css, photoshop, gimp, inkscape, WordPress)
Hajost Family Blog
I helped the Hajost Family redesign their blog for Blogger. I don’t do a lot of blogs, but I did enjoy this one. The goal was something fun, whimsical, using blues and lots of pictures. I made a custom header with background and sidebar graphics.(photoshop elements, gimp, Blogger)
East Cooper Baptist Church Women’s Ministry
I’m so grateful that Debi asked me to create the women’s ministry site for East Cooper because that is the push I needed to start freelancing. I learned so many things on this first design, and I maintain this regularly because I see it as an important part of my ministry within the body of Christ.(xhtml, css, photoshop, gimp)
Poco Creative Logo
I had never previously designed a logo, and I am so happy with this result. I had some feedback and direction from seasoned designers at logopond and typophile, and it took me several turn-arounds to come to something that made me smile. In the end I was grinning from ear to ear, and I think that’s really important for a logo. Don’t you just love how the flower is flirting with the type? Fun!(gimp)
Summerville Attorney
Mark Leiendecker ’s business site was recoded, content and site architecture simplified and made more accessible, and code integrated into WordPress.(xhtml, css, WordPress)
Old Paths Family Farm
This project is what forced me to dive into WordPress. Of course I think it could be improved, but I learned a great deal on this one.(xhtml, css, gimp, WordPress)
Dorman98.com
Site goal to be to publicize the 10th year reunion of Dorman High School Class of 1998 in Spartanburg, SC. (xhtml, css, gimp, WordPress)
Ericsparks.net
This is my husband’s blog. Again it was one of the first times I dove into WordPress. I didn’t do much but modify an existing theme and add a header image. (xhtml, css, gimp, WordPress)
Goodlikeamedicine.com
I redesigned my personal site and conformed it to WordPress after having no easy way to maintain it after a year and a half. (xhtml, css, gimp, WordPress)
Healthy Realty Logo
In January 2008 I designed a logo for a new business in Charleston, SC. (inkscape, gimp)
In Summer 2008 I plan to complete the company’s website, which will allow visitors to search local MLS listings and learn more about this business.
ITW Logo
This logo for International Trombone Week in Charleston, SC was a fun project. It was a good exercise in paths and bezier curves for me, since I had no experience drawing trombones or palmetto trees!
I later finished a clean and simple site to publicize the event. (inkscape, gimp, xhtml, css, WordPress)
Spring Concert Series
SundayNightsDowntown.com
This static site was to publicize a Spring Concert Series for East Cooper Baptist Church in SC. It was made to replicate the flyer printed and distributed for the series with access to ticket registration and links to artists and local information. (xhtml, css, WordPress, gimp)
Craft Apple
Linda at Craft Apple contacted me about redesigning her craftapple.com online store. I teamed up with Natalie Jost for this one. It was my first e-commerce type of site. (xhtml, css, WordPress, gimp)
Palmetto Handmade
I am so happy with the finished design of my first online shop, palmettohandmade.com! This online store is an idea I’ve had for several years, and I am excited about where it may go (although slowly)! I think it is one of my best designs yet, and I had a great time putting it together. (xhtml, css, WordPress, gimp)
